Yes Michael. They are almost the same thing, although repisa is not used to described a store0s shelf, at least not in my country. I suppose it depends on the region.

Hi daniel, repisa is much smaller than estante. In Spain we say estantería. Anaquel seems to be very old fashioned for estantería. I didn't know the word.

My mostly Mexican students use librero for bookshelf, and estante seems to be more general to them. Repisa I think could also mean ledge, for example window ledge or whiteboard ledge, and I think it's also sometimes used to refer to the fireplace mantel.
