    Hi Guys,

    I have problems to translate this phrase into Spanish. Even though I understand the English, I cannot come up with a meaningful translation, can you help me?

    the successful applicant will have a good track record in accounting

    el aspirante que lo logre / que sea exitoso tendrá ....???

    Por ahora lo único "cercano" que se me ocurre es ""tendrá un buen curriculum en el área de contabilidad". Espero que te sea de ayuda y si se me ocurre algo ams te aviso

    Otras opciones podrían ser:
    -una buena trayectoria en contabilidad
    -buenos antecedentes en contabilidad

    I liked Hebe's suggestion "en el área de contabilidad" or "en el área contable"

    Distes en el clavo Merce !!!! Trayectoria es una opción perfecta. ¿Crees que sería válido decir "Trayectoria profesional en el área de contabilidad/contable"?

    Gracias Hebe y Mem. Ahora que leo sus versiones la frase no me parece tan compleja, Pero me quedé en blanco y no se me ocurria nada.
    Me voy a quedar con la frase "buena trayectoria en el area contable"

    Hebe: la palabra "profesional" no se si debiera incluirse ya que el original no la menciona. Pero por otro lado, no ensuciaría la frase tampoco.

    Simplemente añadir un breve comentario y una sugerencia.

    Yo pondría lo que Hebe, "Buena trayectoria profesional en el área de contabilidad" porque el adjetivo "profesional" dá a entender que la experiencia aportada es seria y contrastable.

    Y en vez de "aspirante que lo logre" (literal) pondría el más común "candidato ideal" o "candidato idóneo."

    Tienen toda la razón colegas, la primera parte necesitaba mejora. Como alternativa. se me ocurre que si (y solo si) la palaba "applicant" se refiere a alguien que introduce una solicitud que implica un proceso de selección, se podría usar la frase "Los candidatos que sean seleccionados ..... " y el resto ya quedó elaborado.

    Me encantan los brainstorms que tenemos en este foro. El trabajo en equipo siempre da buenos resultados
