Default Help with translation (3 sentences, asking permission)

    Buenos Días!
Could someone please help me translate this into Spanish? (European, if possible. I'm not sure how great the difference is.)
It doesn't have to be an exact word-for-word translation, as long as the general idea and meaning is maintained.
    Thank you very much!

Do I have your permission to paint a watercolour portrait from your photograph?
I paint mostly for my own pleasure, but if I were to display the painting in public, You will of course be credited as the original source.
It is such a beautiful image, and I would be very grateful!

It might help to know that it will be addressed to a man.

Hi Micu. Here is an attemp. Hope it helps

¿Podría tener su autorización para hacer un retrato a en acuarela de ss fotografía?
Por lo general pinto solo por placer, pero si este retrato se exhibiese en público Ud. recibiría el crédito como la fuente original. Es una imagen tan hermosa y yo estaría muy agradecido

    Best regards

Thank you very much, Hebe! It is of great help.

I'm just wondering about the "ss" after acuarela de.
Is it a slip of the key and should be "su"?
I'm guessing it is, but I better ask.

Absolutely Micu, I am sorry. It should be "de su fotografía"

    Kind regards

    Más europeo quizás:

¿Puedo hacer un acuarela de su fotografía?
Por lo general pinto solo por placer, pero si este cuadro se exhibiese en público se le mencionaría (a Usted) como fuente original. Es una imagen tan hermosa y yo estaría muy agradecido .

MIcu, man or woman? If you are a woman: agradecida

We are more direct here in Europe. Retrato would be considered a portrait only, unless you meant that, retrato is not the correct word.
If I am not mistaken, to receive credit here means simply that the source would be mentioned.
We do not use an article before fuente..

    Hello,
Thank you very much for your help! I don't know what I would do without this forum.
I will probably ask this question to both Europeans and Latin Americans, but this particular photographer is from Andalucía, Spain.

It is a portrait I mean, a head/shoulder shot of a person, so I think retrato is the right word. Can one say retrato about both paintings and photos (when they are portraits) ?

With the "..you will of course be credited as the original source..", I mean that the photographer's name will be mentioned, so that people will know who originally composed and captured the image.

I forgot that some words differ depending on the gender of the speaker... I should have mentioned that I am a woman! Thank you for that!

    Kind regards

Then retrato is the word to use. You did not mention that in your original post.
¿Puedo hacer una acuarela de su fotografía?
Por lo general pinto solo por placer, pero si este retrato se exhibiese en público se le acreditará debidamente. Es una imagen tan hermosa y yo estaría muy agradecida .

Look at some more changes. acreditar is the best option.
