Thread: Spanish Finals ***need Help***

Hello, I have my Spanish Finals coming up soon and really need to do well on it. I need to choose a famous actor to write about and I chose Keanu Reeves. Could somebody tell me if my translations are perfect because my teacher will take off a lot of points if even one thing is wrong?!

We need to use 5 tenses in Spanish so they're all incorporated in here as well:

I'd really appreciate any corrections or suggestions in improving lines since my Spanish Finals are coming up next week and I really need to ace it! Thanks.

Hi, just some commets about sentence 3:

I'd rather use k.R estuvo viviendo. Anyway there is something missing in the context such as " estuvo viviendo en Toronto durante 2 años"
Now, if we go with estaba viviendo we need something else like " estaba viviendo en Toronto cuando su abuela falleció"

Regarding number "13) Reeves recieved an MTV award in 1992 and 1995
13) Reeves recibió un premio MTV en 1992 y en 1995"
what Valeria wrote is ok. the simple past of received is RECIBIÓ. RECIBA , as you wrote, is not past. And it is a PREMIO MTV, maybe the award is called MTV, he did not received the award from MTV but an MTV award.

Hope it makes it a bit more clear.

Yes, it feels there is something "missing" in that sentence, but when I translated it I thought that maybe the teacher wanted them to practise past continuos It looks incomplete in English so there is nothing we can do. "estaba viviendo" is the literal translation.

Also I missed an accent in the word película (number 15).

The rest is OK

I see what you mean when you say the sentence seems incomplete in English. But we need to use the Imperfect, Preterite, Subjunctive, Future, and Condicional tenses. So some of the English sentences are formatted to fit these tenses.
