    Default sire an heir

    hello,

i think these words are an expression... anyone knows what it means??

context: "But despite enthusiastic and then contrived efforts Charles seemed unable to sire an heir."

    Thank you!

Clarab, are you sure you're consulting the dictionary before you ask for help?

To sire: to beget; procreate as the father.

Heir: a person who inherits or has a right of inheritance in the property of another following the latter's death.

To sire an heir = Engendrar un heredero.

    Hope that helps
