first of all, delete all "YO" from sentences that begin with that word, since it is redundant to use it in the 1st person singular in Spanish.

secondly, you did quite well! however here are the first five with some corrections:

    1) ¡tengo ganas de llegar a Barcelona!
    2) Mi familia viene a saludarme. (or "Mi familia viene a visitarme")
    3) ¡Yo echar de menos! (we need the source sentence, does it say "I miss you!" in English? - if so, the translation would be "Te extraño"
    4) ¡Hola, familia!
    5) Paseamos en auto por la hermosa ciudad. (or "recorremos la hermosa ciudad en auto")

    Hope it helps

THANKS!! You helped alot! The English sentences are:

    2) My family is here (or has come) to greet me.
    3) I (have) missed (all of) you!
    5) We are driving through the beautiful city.

When speaking informally in present tense - this is a children's storybook - is it better to say: We are driving through ... or We drive through ... ?

re: ... "the beautiful city" why is it "hermosa ciudad" & not "city of beauty"? I thought adjectives were placed after the nouns they modify.

Pardon my questions, but I am trying to figure this out with almost no knowledge of Spanish (I took it for 5 months in 6th grade decades ago!). I am attempting to develop a basic understanding of the general grammar structure so I can help with homework.
