Could anyone help me to understand the meaning of this?

Quite hard to understand without any context...

"1% for the Planet" is a group of businesses that donate 1% of their sales to environmental organizations. So, if a firm gives 1% it is complying with the goals/terms/etc. of "1% for the Planet".
