    Hola a todos!
    Estoy haciendo una traducción al español sobre las normas de conducta de una escuela para chicos sordos.
    Entre las conductas que serán castigadas me aparece un item que dice:
    "Intimidating VP, emails, etc"

    Ese es todo el item, y no me aparece ninguna referencia a VP en el texto. Alguien saber qué es?

    Hola!

    Cuando se habla de un "VP" en textos de educación, creo que se refiere a "VP Education": el VP o Vice President ocuparía el cargo de representante del cuerpo estudiantil. Como se trata de un caso de mala conducta, podría traducirse como "intimidar o molestar al Vice Presidente del cuerpo estudiantil". Estoy segura que si hacés una búsqueda más detallada del significado de "VP Education", vas a encontrar la respuesta más acertada.

    True, "VP" could mean "Vice President". But why would ONE PERSON be mentioned as the target of intimidations? Why not "teachers"? Why not "staff"? Why not "students"?
    It really makes no sense. And note that "VP" is followed by "emails". Doesn't that strike anyone odd? What does "VP" have in common with "emails"?

    I think you will find that the key to the mystery is "chicos sordos". What is known to deaf children and is related to emails? The answer is "video phone", a means of communication common among the deaf. Feel free to ask a deaf person or use Google. You'll note the use consistent with the text above.
