    Default Medical translation

    Hello All,

I'm wondering if I can get some help. Our 8 year old son has a life threatening egg allergy.

We'll be travelling to Mexico this Christmas season and I'd love some phrases that I can use to help get this information across to hotel staff and restaurant staff effectivey.

My spanish is poor (I'm Canadian..my french is pretty good..).

    Roy from Northern Ontario

Thank you so much for the translation. I'll type that out on cue cards and share with the wait staff in restaraunts while on vacation.

    Warm Regards

I would suggest that you print out the other PDFs as well. Depending upon where you are, the sophistication of the personnel in the medical facilities can vary. In the more remote areas, just as in other parts of North America, the medical facilities may be less familiar. Also it is not unheard of that some wait/bus staff in some areas may not have the same literacy levels that you would find in the high end establishments.

This is serious. There should be an emphasis on "life-threatening", otherwise people do not pay much attention.

Therefore, I suggest you use: "El niño tiene una alergia a los huevos, que puede causarle la muerte". They will listen to that.

    Cheers!
