Thread: How does this sound?

Ok so basically my assignment is to talk about what cultural activities I like, and why. Also I need to talk about what kind of movies I like, If I go to the movies a lot, and who my favorite movie stars are.

I like to go to museums, movies, and concerts. There are a lot of museums, movies and concerts in LA, because LA is very cultural. For concerts, I go to the Hollywood Bowl or the Echo in Silverlake because they have interesting bands. For museums, I go to LACMA or MOCA because they always have amazing exhibits. I prefer to watch movies in my house, but I also like to go the movie theater. My favorite theater is The Landmark in West LA. My favorite movies are comedies and dramas. My favorite movie star is Phillip Seymour Hoffman and my favorite TV star is Conan O'Brien. I am very annoyed that Jay Leno is replacing Conan O'brien on NBC's Late Show. Jay Leno is not funny!

Me gusta ir a museos, cines, y los conciertos. Hay unos muchos museos, cines, y conciertos en Los Angeles, porque Los Angeles está muy cultural. Para conciertos, voy a el Hollywood Bowl o Echo en Silverlake porque tienen bandas interesantes. Para museos, voy a LACMA o MOCA porque siempre lo han hecho exposiciones asombrosas (does presentations work for this? I don't know how to say exhibits and it isn't in my dictionary.) Yo prefiero ver películas en mi casa, pero también me gusta ir a las salas de cine. Mi cine favorito es El Landmark en Los Angeles del Oeste. Me gustan las comedias y dramas. Mi estrella (does the literal translation of star work when describing famous people?) de cine favorito es Phillip Seymour Hoffman y mi estrella de televisión favorita es Conan O'Brien. Estoy muy molesto de que Jay Leno está reemplazando Conan O'Brien en el NBC Late Show. ¡Jay Leno no es cómico!

I think 'exposiciones' or 'exhibiciones' work better than 'presentaciones'. And by the way, 'exhibits' are 'exhibiciones'.
