In Argentina, maybe in a slang way too (suggestions?) we name those situations in the following way

I could think of

- "Te la estas llevando de arriba"

Let's give a lot of options to Vicente, and see if we can determine a Spanish equivalent expression...

I remember a Pink Floyd song called "Have a Cigar".

Aqui en Mèxico (o al menos en el norte) nos referimos a esta situación como "pasarsela concha".

I would say that such a person is "un aprovechador" and for me the expression "riding the gravy train" would be "aprovecharse de la situación".

Yo diría "sacarle el jugo". "Deberías sacarle todo el jugo que puedas mientras sea posible".

Buen punto Walterzev. Coloquialmente acá en Chile se dice que este tipo de personas "se las llevan peladitas"

* Estás ganando plata fácil.
* Estás cobrando sin transpirar.
* Encontraste un buen curro.
* Estás dándote la buena vida.
* Estás llevándotela de arriba ► como bien dijo Nicolasm.

Me recuerda a la canción "Money for nothing" de Dire Straits.
