Thread: How do you say "bugs" in Spanish

For example i was trying to say "Close the lid so we don't get dust or bugs in it".

Do you just say 'Insectos"?

Cierra la tapa entonces no estaria polvo o ____

Hi!, Although I don't understand the specific context of the sentence my guess would be Cierra la tapa para que no entre polvo ni insectos/bichos... Bichos is less formal than insectos...
