HI GUYS,

ON THIS OCASSION, I'D LIKE TO HELP ME WITH THE WORD ESTANCIA. THE CONTEXT IS AS SIMPLE AS:

SHE SOLD (TRES ESTANCIAS)

IN SPANISH, AT LEAT IN AREGENTINA ESTANCIA MEANS:
Se denomina estancia a un establecimiento rural. Designa a un establecimiento rural de hacendados y a la finca de tal establecimiento.
Comprende extensiones de tierras concedidas en propiedad a un sujeto o una familia. Tiene un centro edilicio que incluye viviendas, silos, establos, caballerizas o aras, bodegas etc.

SO, COULD THE WORD RANCH BE USED? RANCH IN THE PLURAL DOESN'T SOUND GOOD TO ME. OR WHAT ABOUT FARMS?
ANY OTHER SUGGESTION WOULD BE GREAT!

FARM a tract of land, usually with a house, barn, silo, etc., on which crops and often livestock are raised for livelihood.

I might be wrong, but I believe Estancia can also be translated as RANCH when farming activities are no longer involved.
For example, there are old, turn-of-the-century ESTANCIAS in the outskirts of Buenos Aires that have closed their farming activities but currently serve as bread & breakfasts, or as a place where tourist can spend the day at...
I would use RANCH in those cases.

That's my opinion, at least.
