Thanks but it's the word "way" that I'm really interested in. It's an adverbial intensifier that is commonly used informally.

My hair is too long. ==> Mi cabello está demasiado largo.
My hair is way too long. ==> ??

Is there a way in Spanish to distinguish between "too long" and "way too long?"

I understand what you're saying but I don't think there is a way to say that in spanish.. I think people just say "demasiado" emphasizing a part of the word, it's something like "demasiaaado". Also, In Venezuela people use the word "burda" instead of demasiado but it's way too informal!...

or
My hair is a great deal too long
or
My hair is more than just a little bit too long.

Could you translate those?

I would translate that "way" as:
"Tengo el cabello extremadamente largo"

too long --> demasiado largo
way too long --> re larguísimo

We use "re" as intensifier a lot, at least in Argentina.

Thanks! These are all good suggestions. I have a comment and a question:

"Too long" and "way too long" suggest that the length is problematic. "Extremadamente largo" could be a good thing. This translation loses the effect of demasiado.

Do speakers from other countries use re as an intensifier? Can it be used with demasiado? "re demasiado largo?

I am not sure whether "re" is used in other countries.

This is what RAE says:
"Con adjetivos o adverbios, puede reforzarse el valor de intensificación añadiendo a re- las sílabas -te o -quete. Retebueno. Requetebién." (http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/SrvltCons..._BUS=3&LEMA=re)

As regards "re demasiado largo", it doesn't sound familiar to me.

This: "re demasiado largo" is definitely wrong. You have to used either re, or demasiado, not both.

I believe that re, as an intensifier, is only used in Argentina..
