Thread: spanish dialogue...

Something’s amiss. Maybe it’s just typos. If I could rewrite it a little bit, I’d say:

Persisten promesas y el dolor se intensifica el shock emocional. No sé si quiero o no pero no quiero sufrir en serio. Yo también te amo. Ama a quien te ama y no con quien te ilusiona.

Still the promises – and pain just intensifies the emotional shock. I don’t know whether I want(?) or not, but I don't want to seriously suffer. I love you too. Love who loves you and not who excites you.

you found difficulties cause the girl's part is grammatically/ semanticly unclear. Maybe this ambiguity is stated on purpose for the sake of humour...I dunno. I'll try to explain to you what I think this means in Spanish

I think the girl didnt say that. To me, that's part of the marginal notes, the stage directions for the actress and it should be in brackets. She doesn't read them loud, just instructions. It means "Shock/crisis emocional"

That phrase is grammatically wrong... I got the feeling it lacks a comma between no and pero. Punctiation is definitely misleading there, look at how i would've said it:

The "mmm" means that she's thinking. then she says "I dont know if I want (sth) or not, but I dont want to suffer. Seriously...
and Enserio is emphatic, meaning she really means it.

oh! and I also thought about the possibility that maybe there's a huge typo there, a missing word and it changes the whole interpretation. LOOk at this:
