Sol...I guess I should have more context. Anyways, my best shot would be "...at the already published works (papers?), which we should take for granted as well known..."
Btw..."well-known" is hyphenated when used as an adjective, not as an adverb (e.g. a well-known book).

Opino que lo problemático en la frase en castellano está en la palabra "obligadamente". ¿Por qué estará alguien obligado a dar por conocido algo? Sospecho que por falta de espacio o de tiempo. Yo por eso usaría el más literal "we are forced to consider already known", para conservar el matiz de que aunque el autor querría explayarse, no puede hacerlo y tiene que remitirse a los trabajos ya publicados. Pero quizás el contexto cuenta otra historia.
