    Question De origen humilde

    Hi there!

    I'd like to know what you understand by this phrase: "As he came from a humble background,...".

    I'm translating "de origen muy humilde", which means that a person comes from a humble place, environment, or that he/she was very poor. Can I use this phrase as a translation? Or can you suggest any better options?

    Saludos, si me lo permiten yo cambiaria el tiempo de la oracion...

    yo dejaria la frase en "como era de origen humilde" ya que segun me suena la frase, esta como intentando justificar o explicar algo de esa persona. Algo asi como;

    "Juan..."como era de origen humilde"... no conocia tanto lujo"
