I found out that it means:
I am afraid of the operation ..
meter un cuchillo: have an operation.
(This is mexican)

Yes, I found out too last nite that it means:
I'm scared of going under the knife. -it was in a medical setting, i'm sorry I didn't mention that. So thanks again for ur help
