Coincido con Hebe con "quiero un estimado por escrito". Si lo traducimos como presupuesto, entonces cómo se traduciría "estimated budget"? Creo que estimado del costo se puede aplicar a cualquier contexto. Valoración podría traducirse también en dependencia del contexto.
De cualquier manera, sin contexto podríamos estar dando montones de posibilidades para la traducción. Pero por ejemplo si estamos hablando de una pintura, no puede traducirse como presupuesto, porque quiero un estimado del precio. Si hablamos de una inversión, quizás podría traducirse como presupuesto, pero aún no me convence. Sigo inclinada por la variante del estimado del costo, del monto, etc...
