hahaha, he is handsome, a tennis player, a graduate, 24 years old.
hahah, but, well, he said let's go for a trip, but if you go with your husband, how can that be fun? anyways......my papers of residency will be ready for May. Hey, you are leaving on Wednesday!!!!!
Dear friend, you never called me/told me anything when you were here . Carmen and I were waiting buuuuu
I am sorry to see that, kcranmer. I hope you can sort things out with her.
hey guys, i dont want to get involved in this, but i felt it was important, for Kcranmer to know, it doesnt say anthing about her leaving on wednesday.
"lechera de miercoles te vas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" miercoles subsituting for another word. it does not mean anyone is leaving wednesday....it does say she is leaving...but not on miercoles and there is no context to say where she is going or when, except when when her friend mentions going with her husband...isnt that you?
we should be a bit more careful when translating something that may seriously effect someones life......

I have to disagree with the interpretation you have given to the text...
First, her friend told her she is with a gringo...so your wife replied she is with another gringo, so it just means she is with a gringo TOO, just like her friend...not that she has another gringo besides you...
It does not mean she has another person, it is a way to interpret this situation and I don't think you should put your relation to risk just because of this note which is no proof whatsoever of what you may think.

No it doesn't. It says that the other person, obviously her friend, is leaving on Wednesday. I translated it as such.Originally Posted by emilyb

No it doesn't, it says her friend is leaving. And I do understand the sentence..it does say she is leaving...
I think so, too.we should be a bit more careful when translating something that may seriously effect someones life......
Of course, I must agree with Sandra on this. Do not take things so seriously, even though they might seem very extreme and very obvious. It might just be friendly bragging about a conquest, which doesn't really exist, except in her mind or their minds for that matter.

Again, no one is leaving on wednesday. she is calling her a name, an insulting name depending who uses it, but it is more of a joking friendly way. you said you doubt she would call her friend names, but did you read the first sentence that you commented on? "this is a friendly vocative in Spanish in this context" ???? same thing.Originally Posted by exxcéntrica

anyway kcranmer, my advice would be to not listen to some people who dont know you, your situation, or your wife... suerte!
Well put Emily and Sandra, this public forum is not the place to judge whether your wife is cheating on you. Suerte!!

you're right, emilyb. I was so shocked when I read it that I didn't realize the part about "lechera de miercoles"...of course, this is a way to call her friend...she is putting miércoles to not use the four letter word: mierda.
Definetely, her friend is leaving somewhere but it does not say when.
and I repeat, a relationship is something more serious than the interpretation of a simple note. It takes time, facts and other topics to analyze and arrive at such conclusion.
