I am a newbie here. The following may or may not have some semblance to the proper translation. Hopefully, you will know enough to guess the rest, or someone here will fix my stab at it:

Hi Damian, Everything’s OK here but a little sad since they don’t provide many things. I’m writing you to ask you one thing. Here they are wearing some shorts [chores a cuadros ??]. They are ordered from Aya Arriba. If you can, I will send one .If you can, my own address is Calixto Garcia, 848E, Linea Norte y Docal Florida, Camaguey, Cuba. Kisses, Ailyn

    Here's my version-
Hi Damian, everything's fine here though a bit sad since there isn't much to do. I'm writing to ask you for something, people here are using these shorts a cuadros (don't know what that means, but think it may be a specific type or style. Cuadros=squares.) that are sent from up there (if this letter is sent from Cuba, up there means US). If you can, send me a pair. If you can. Mi address is Calixto Garcia 848 E/Linea Norte y Docal Florida, Camaguey, Cuba. Besos, Ailyn

By the way- Cuban is not a language. Cuba is the country. You could've said that it was sent from Cuba, in case there were some words or phrases that were better interpreted by someone that is Cuban, knows them, etc. But in general it's a Spanish speaking country. So it's in Spanish.

Bless you. I was in way over my head. It is really chores DE cuadros isn't it? That's what I could Google. And is just checkered shorts? Maybe?

I sure got something out of it. I won't forget aya arriba means "up there".

    Damian,

Check out Phat Farm Square Shorts on the net and see if maybe that's what chores a cuadros is referring to. There is also a new swimsuit/shorts called square shorts. My problem is these are all men's fashions. Just a thought.

    Hi Gernt,
    Many Blessings to you too!
Chores de cuadros does sound like checkered shorts. But because we're talking about a certain style, we can't be fully sure.
Thanks to Joel, for pointing out Phat Farm- guess who's the cool looking translator?
And yes again Gernt, aya arriba is up there when talking about location.
    Take care!
