    Hola a todos, quería pediros un favor un tanto grande. Estoy teniendo un problemita con una compañía y quería dejar un post en mi blog. Para que tenga algo más de audiencia quería traducirlo al inglés, pero mis capacidades en este idioma son muy limitadas, por lo que os agradecería vuestras correcciones. He ido haciendo la traducción por parrafos. Os agradezco cualquier cosa que aporteis.



    ¿Qué confianza ofrece una compañia de hosting, que como medida cautelar te bloquea tu cuenta y no te permite recuperar nada de la información que tienes en sus servidores?
    Pues eso es precisamente lo que me ha hecho recientemente la gente de FR EEHOSTIA.COM.
    ¿What confidence can offer a hosting company, that for Provisional Measures block your account and don't let you recover your data from their servers? That's just what hava happend to me with the people of FR EEHOSTIA.COM.
    F reehostia, además de ser un nombre gracioso (al menos en castellano), es una empresa de hosting. Ofrecen varios servicios que parecen bastante competitivos e incluso un hosting gratuito con el que empezar.
    Ni corto ni perezoso, hace dos o tres semanas comencé a probar, y ya sabeis como son estas cosas, empiezas con una instalación básica de wordpress y cuando te das cuenta tienes más de tresmil lineas de código modificadas, el css completamente cambiado y unos cuantos bugs arreglados y notificados a los creadores de sus respectivos plugins.
    F reehostia, in addition to be a funny name (in spanish sounds like f ree smack), it's a hosting company. They offer many services whichs looks competitive, even have a fr ee one to begin with. Two or three weeks ago, not wasting any time, I began to prove this, and you know how these things are... you begin with the basic wordpress installation and when I realise I had modified 3000 lines of code, I had changed all the css and fixed and reported many bugs to the plugins author.
    Uno que ya empieza a ser perro viejo en estas cosas, cada poco hacía una copia de seguridad de los archivos y de la base de datos, ya que el panel de control de fr eehostia no ofrece ninguna opción para esto. ¿Pero cada cuánto se debe hacer una copia de seguridad? Para intentar solventarla, cada día más preocupante, perdida de memoria que sufro, hace unos días instalé un plugin de wordpresss que me hacía copias del contenido de la página de forma automática.
    I begin to be an old dog in this things and I usually made a backup of all my files and data base information, since the fr eehostia control panel haven't any facilities to make that. But, how often may I make a backup? Trying to solve my each day more worrying memory leaks, I installed some days ago a plugin to automate the backup (this was the problem).
    Pero esta mañana al levantarme y visitar la página, me encuentro con un mensaje de que mi cuenta ha sido bloqueada... Compruebo el mail y ni una misera notificación del motivo del bloqueo. Me pongo en contacto con ellos, aclaramos los motivos del bloqueo y, cagate lorito, cuando les pido amablemente que por lo menos, ya que se niegan a desbloquearme la cuenta, me permitan recuperar mi información de la misma, dejan de contestarme... Y es que me estoy temiendo lo peor, me da el pálpito que estos "profesionales" de la administración de sistemas y el hosting, como medida preliminar se han machacado el contenido de la web y el de la base de datos. Y pensar que esta semana iba a contratarlo para aumentar el la capacidad de mis servicios...
    But when I got up this morning and visited my web, I found a message whichs say that my account was blocked. I get in touch with them, we clarify the reasons of the blocking and, blow me down, when I ask them kindly to let me at least to copy the last data, they stop answering me!!! I fear the worst, I have a feeling that this system administration and hosting "proffesional people" have erased all my data. And to think that this wheek i was going to contract their services to increase my capacities... thank goodness I didn't do before.
    Ahora sólo me queda buscar otro hosting, volver a instalarlo todo, recuperar lo que pueda desde el último backup de la base de datos, gestionarlo de nuevo con google, comunicárselo a los clientes... apenas.
    Así que por lo menos, para los cuatro que leemos esto, pensaroslo mucho antes de utilizar los fantásticos servicios de fr eehostia mirad que por cuatro duros año los hay que parecen serios... No os pase lo que a mi.
    Now I have to look for another hosting, install every thing again, try to recover the data from backups, inform the customers...
    So for those four whose read my blog, please think it two times before using the "fantastic" hosting services with f reehostia. There are many other hosting for not much money and look better than this one... I hope anybody make the same mistake.

    Mire, su inglés es mucho mejor que mi español, pero es una buena lección para mi intentar a traducirlo:

Two or three weeks ago, not thinking twice, I tried it, and you know how these things are... you begin with the basic Wordpress installation and then you realize you have modified 3000 lines of code, completely changed the CSS, and fixed and reported many bugs to the authors of the plugins.

    I've begun to be an old hand at these things, and I usually made a backup of all my files and database information, since the freehostia control panel offers no facilities to do that. But, how often do I need to make a backup? In trying to solve my memory leaks which were getting worse by the day, some time ago, I installed a plugin to automate the backup (this was the problem).

    But when I got up this morning and visited my webpage, I found a message that said my account was blocked. I checked my e-mail, and not one measly notification of the purpose for blocking me. I get in touch with them, we clarify the reasons of the blocking and, holy crap [pues, blow me down no tiene exactamente la fuerza del original, pero sí aprendí una palabra ], when I asked them kindly to let me at least to copy the latest data, they stopped answering me!!! And it’s just that I fear the worst, I have a feeling that these system administration and hosting "profesionals" have trashed all my data. And to think that this week I was going to contract their services to increase my capacities... thank goodness I didn't do that before.

    Now I have to look for another host, install everything again, try to recover what I can from the last (good) backup, negotiate again with Google, inform the customers... at least [supongo - digame que quiere decir apenas despues la oración].
    But, at least, for the four [uno - yo - por lo menos] who read my blog, please think it over carefully before using the "fantastic" hosting service of freehostia. [Desde aquí, no entendía muy bien el español, y solo he arreglado su versión en inglés - es año en este lugar que no puedo entender]. There are many other inexpensive hosts that seem a lot better than this one... I hope no one else makes the same mistake.
