Two minutes? I can't do it at all, but that never stopped me before.
Man, what a rumor. (I think vola is really bola, and means rumor only in Cuba. ) friend what a surprise. Sure, I had a girl by a Spanish woman from around here but we separated and I went to Cuba for a few days and shacked up with an old girlfriend who is still there – no papers, no coins, no… And around here like always with them all and with nobody, with the face of a good person and a guy mistreated by women – it always works.
Tell me about you. Come here for a little while and you’ll be with … (a girl who likes threesomes, maybe? At this point I'd believe anything.).
It sure helped he said he went to Cuba.
Kilito - Cuban for penny
Jevita - Cuban for chick

nice one. many thanks. yep.... it makes sense.
cheers
I've changed my mind. Asere by itself may mean friend, but I suspect pinga asere means friggin' amazing. Tenemos pocas cubanas en mi iglesia que van a sentir escandalizadas mañana por mis preguntas muy inocentes.
Lo gracioso es que seguro que ese idiota no se come ni una rosca.
Exx - are you in Madrid by chance? I had to look that one up. I'm learning lots of regional sayings in this thread.
Exx said he couldn't score on a bet. Maybe. Hay las chicas que son cachondas (en ambos sentidos) también. They don't necessarily have to believe him as long as he doesn't look like a complete basket case.

jeje, is that the correct wording? I had heard:
no comerse una rosca, not to get anywhere with women/men
Look at this interesting thread:

Yes, Gernt, I think this is a typical Spanish saying (from Spain).
Según su referencia, puede querer decir algo siquiera peor en, por ejemplo, Argentina. Podría ser una frase muy útil.
Intentaba contestar con más regionalismos:
Score = tener éxito con una mujer
Basket case = una persona que no puede hacer nada
Hey Gernt! In my neck of the woods a basket case is a nut, a crazy person, a nuerotic, an emtionally unstable person, etc.Originally Posted by gernt

I don't know. I don't think I ever use it seriously. I might say something like "We'd like to join you, but after keeping the kids all day, the wife's a basket case".
