It should be spelled "bravito" and I'm not sure about use in other countries, but in Colombia "bravo" means "angry" or "mad."
So this is basically saying, "don't get mad if I don't write to you very much, it's just because you call and we talk on the phone."
Thanks Matthew. I sometimes forget that in Spanish the 'v' and 'b' are easily interchanged.
In Spain we use "Bravo" to say that something is really well done.
