Another example, Maria...This is a very typical mistake/confusion for English speakers: the way to deal with verb "be", and its possible translation into "ser" or "estar". It's difficult to see the difference at first, but it's not impossible!
Ojalá pudiera ir a España. (I wish I could go/travel to Spain).
Ojalá estuviera en España. (I wish I were in Spain).
