    Wouldn’t “we hadn’t talked” be “no habíamos hablado”?

    That´s correct gernt. So the translation in this case should be "we haven´t talked" (which means we still have not taken the time to have a chat) and not "we hadn't talked" (which probably means that we finally took the time to talk) . present perfect vs. past perfect"

    Another, more colloquial, but lengthier, translation would be:
    "its been quite a while since we last talked"
