    Default Bóveda celeste

    Hola a todos,

Can anyone suggest an altenative to 'sky' for the term 'bóveda celeste'?

I am working on a text about astrology and planets so nothing too poetic like 'celestine vaults' works.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Mexish

Astronomy charts just refer to the sky or whole sky. What can be seen with a telescope is the visible universe. I have seen “the part of the universe visible to the naked eye” more than once. Even in scientific articles, one sees references to "the heavens". Note the plural. It makes a big difference.

    Many thanks!

    That's a great help.

I no longer need to look to the heavens for inspiration...

What about 'celestial vault' or 'celestial map'?

From the Wikipedia: A celestial map from the 17th century, by the Dutch cartographer Frederik de Wit.
