Thread: Por Favor...

I am not good with subjunctive...please help with this into English. As far as context goes, I hope you can tell me if the meaning of the sentence is different depending on whether the woman saying this IS pregnant or if she IS NOT pregnant. I was told the speaker was NOT pregnant, but i cant make sence of it if she is not.

" Quien sabe si despues El Gringo me acepte asi con bebe"

I am confused because I do not understand is this says " the gringo accepts me" or " I accept the Gringo". Also, does despues mean "later" or "after" ? It seems this can mean many things ! Thanks, AWT

Thankyou. It is the "despues" that complicats things I feel. With this it seems the meaning could be .... AFTER she BECOMES pregnant. But "asi" makes that unlikely, no?

who knows if the gringo will accept me with my baby... that's the translation... it means the girl does now know if the man (i suppose it is a man) will accept her now that she has a baby !!
