Because you gave your location, I going to make a wild guess and say dead or possibly embarrassed, but it sure depends on the country and context. I doubt the literal meaning would apply. That would be a little something poked with something sharp.
Think of "light". All by itself, we don't know if it's referring to illumination, weight, or beer.
