Loveisall...there are several shortcuts starting with Ctrl+Alt+(a three-digits combination of numeric keys). For example, Ctrl+Alt+162 will give you the "ó". I used to have a mnemonic table which I printed out from an Excel spreadsheet and stuck it up in my workstation.
