Hi guys, I am new to this site. Not really a linguist or anything but I can speak both English and Filipino (tagalog and bisaya).
im here cause I kinda need your help. I am giving a gift to a boss who has been very kind to me. im giving him a pen engraved with the words "a father to all".
when i use the google translate, it says its "a patre omnia" but when i reverse translate to from Latin to English, it says "a father OF all". i hope someone can help me with this.

If you want it in Spanish I think "(Un) Padre a todos" should convey the sentiment you want. It literally says "(A) father to all"
You could also use "Un padre para todos" but to me that is a father for all rather than to all.
I"m not a native Spanish speaker so you might want to wait for a native to look in on this. However if you are pressed for time I'd go with my first suggestion.
If you want it in Latin you'll have to wait for somebody who knows more Latin than I do

As Vicente said, in spanish it will be "Un padre para todos".

Hello baronvondon,
My rusty Latin gives me two options, but I don't know which one is better.
"pater omnium" would mean something like "padre de todos" and "pater omnibus" is much closer to "un padre para todos".
