Saludos a todos, Greetings from the border.

My name is Mario Verber, I was born and grown in the border between Mexico and California. Being exposed to both Spanish and English at an early age and using both languages in meaningful ways prevented me from understanding how hard it is for most people to learn another language.

Before becoming an English teacher for non-English speakers, I worked for an airline, traveled all around and became acquainted with different cultures and languages (now I know how it feels to be in a place where no one understands you and viceversa no matter how hard they try).

Translation has become an issue for me since I was a Kid, watching TV in english and later watching the same show in spanish and thinking "That is not what he said", but the event that really ignited my interest happend While I was living in Guadalajara, I told everyone about this great book I had had and when some of my friends bought it in spanish the translation was so bad...

I really don't know how this site works, do I just reply whenever I like?
My main purpose is to help out, give from my life experience, and start a new stage in my life.
