    Default Que raro!

I placed a post in the What's New forum Thread: Necesito ayuda con una oracion and received this:

    "vicente

Thank you for posting! Your post will not be visible until a moderator has approved it for posting."

Is this a new policy? I am a moderator! Been one for 8 years or so. I've never seen anything like this before.

Anybody know what this is about?

    Hi Vicente,

You see that message because the post that you've replied was awaiting that forum moderator approval due to being created by a new member. Since you are a moderator, you are able to see and reply to posts that are awaiting approval, but those replies will be shown once the original post was approved.

By default, first 5 posts of each member goes to moderation automatically to avoid SPAM in our forums.

We're glad to have you on board and very thankful for you sharing your knowledge with our community.

    Kind Regards,
    Ariel

Ah OK...Thank you for the explanation Ariel. As you know, I only moderate certain forums and I've never had to approve a new member. Is that something that is done by administrators?
