Alfie sorry to correct you but Haleakala has been dormant for years. It is now quite a tourist attraction for hiking and sight seeing. Loihi is actually a new island being created by the volancoes Kilauea and Mauna Loa which are the only active volcanoes in Hawaii. It's very BEAUTIFUL!
You are right Brapoza ! I went there long time ago then Haleakala was a part of it but Hawaii is still an attractive place for tourists. I love hiking so I will go there again on my next vacations to enjoy this.
Ooh yes, you will most definitely enjoy hiking there Alfie! Correct there are many attractions there which make Hawaii's economy is very dependent on tourism. I tell everyone if they get a chance to they should visit and experience the Aloha spirit of the islands.
