    Hi everyone!!!

I'm still in my quest to expand my musical knowledge and I thought that asking for your favourite songs might be a great start!

I'll share my favourite with you:

1 - 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin
2 - 'Karma Police' by Radiohead
3 - 'Wish you were here' by Pink Floyd
4 - 'Stand inside your love' by Smashing Pumpkins
5 - 'Blinded no more' by Sonata Arctica

Tell me what you think of my list and leave your own!!!

    Great choice!

    Hotel California: The Eagles
    Always: Jon B Jovi
    Crazy: Aerosmith
    Open Arms: Journey
    Torn: Natalie Imbruglia

I feel bad I can only mention 5...there are so many!
Realmente, el destino del mundo depende, en primer lugar, de los estadistas y, en segundo lugar, de los intérpretes.

I love the Platters (and I'm not old, Frank, nor was I alive in '58), Ray Charles, and they have many good ones. I'd say 5 of my favorites, in no particular order would be: Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here", "Undertow" (Genesis), "All of me" (by Billie Holiday), "Scotland the Brave" (patriotic Irish song), and some versions of "Amazing Grace" that make your nape hairs stand on end... but there are many, many, many...

I agree Frank, Scotland the Brave is a great tune although Scottish not Irish.

I played the pipes in a police pipe band (very traditional in America) but have had to give it up temporarily while I am working on my masters degree. Just not enough time to do everything. I hope to get back to playing bagpipes next year.

One of my favorite tunes is Minstrel Boy. A beautiful Irish tune but very sad when you hear the words.

    Joel,
you can’t get more Scottish than that !
(I hadn’t even noticed that Lauracipolla had written Irish)
Scotland the Brave is considered the national anthem in Scotland.
“there’s a broad bright moonlight night tonight !”

PS. Do you wear a kilt when playing the bagpipes ?
