Thread: Golden Globe for best subtitles/dubbing?

Hi,

I was watching the Golden Globes and thought "Why isn't there an award for best translation/subtitles, or best dubbing?". Let's say for foreign language films subtitled in English.
This might help rise the overall quality of the subtitling/dubbing in movies and TV Shows because there is still a loooong way to go (right Netflix?).

I'm sure a lot of you had this idea already....

I agree 100%. Since there are awards for book translations, there could perfectly be an award for subtitles (although I don't know if a Golden Globe fits).

Even though I agree with you Maximiliano, I think it has to be related to the movie/TV Show Business. Golden Globe, or Oscar. Somethig related to Hollywood, in order to make this field more popular, because not everyone is familiar with it. A lot of people think that what the subtitles are 100% correct, just because it says Netflix or Paramount or Columbia....
