Thread: Wanted

I caught this movie on DVD, never too sure to go to the theater to see it. The movie is very entertaining, but there is one big issue that it rises: that of resentment. Basically, the story (in many aspects "Fight Club" meets "Matrix") can be seen as an initiation tale. A young accountant changes his life to become a hitman in a secret society which respond to the plans of a loom (... that's right... a loom... something similar to the "soap metaphor" in Fight Club, only different). But I don't want to spoil it for anybody. What puzzled me was the last few lines of the main character, quite an insulting monologue towards the audience: basically he explains that what he did during the entire movie was getting back at anybody who mistreated him at some point in his life. I don't mean to be too blunt or anything (and we'll see what the sequel brings), but isn't that the essence of Nazism?

PS: The puzzling difference is that "Fight Club" was a comedy.
