Thread: Review of 2012 movie

Hello.
I personally did not think that the movie 2012 was good. The movie is very predictable, there are a lot of people escaping, many coincidences and a lot of explosions. The movie is non stop scene after scene of thousands of people losing their lives. Some other movies that you could go see are The Men Who Stare at Goats, The Fourth Kind, or The Antichrist, all of which I think are better than 2012.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago, and it was predictable and, at some moments, kind of funny, don't you think??? The worst part, in my opinion, was that the action started 10 minutes after the beginning of the movie...

TOO PREDICTABLE!!! If you have to talk about these kinds of movies, I rather see The day after tomorrow... Better effects, better plot...

I haven't watched the movie, and I don't mind to do it. This movie is the "watch it on CD" category for me.

I only need to thank one thing to the publicists: they used the Christ Redeemer (Corcovado) instead of the Statue of Liberty (as usual in all the apocalyptic movies).

the concept of the movie is fantastic and, in my opinion, not that far from reality. Honestly, i watched it only because John Cusack was in it, but as far as the plot and "extraordinary scenes" are concerned, they could have done so much better than that.

I agree. The movie did not live up to the hype at all! I watched it...it was okay but not one that I would say OMG I have to see that again. Does make you wonder though doesn't it about what may or may not happen?
