Default Adding Files to be Reviewed

    1) Create a New Project

    2) Add files to be controlled and you select the format, then Next.

    Default Setting Priorities

    3) Then you select Low for Priority and Ongoing translation. Low priority means that you might want to add a Translation Memory or a Term Base to compare the translated files against, and they you will call the latter as High priority, to set the level of importance.

Default Adding a TB or a TM

    4) Once the files to be reviewed are loaded, then you need to Add the term base or TM against which you´ll compare the bilingual files.
NOTE: you might only review translated files with no TM or no TB, just to check the content of the files.

Default Setting Priorities for TB or TM

    6) Once you selected the TM or TB, you need to give this file High priority, and you also need to check for Key Terms

Default Low Priorities vs. High Priorities

    7) This is how it should look like when you loaded all the bilingual files and you can distinguish what´s low priority from what´s high. And click ok.

    Default Running the QA

    8) Files are processed. And then you need to go to Tab QA. Once in there, you click whatever you consider necessary for your control and click Check Ongoing Translation

    Default Getting the QA Report

    9) Once you checked Check Ongoing Translation, you come up with the results. Here in the screenshot you can see when there´s a mismatch between bilingual file and TM or TB, in the resport you´ll see it as Key Term Mismatch.
Sometimes not all the results need to be corrected, but it´s a huge help.
In case you need to export this log, you can go to Tools > Export QA Results...And you can pick the report format that suits you best!

Default Re: Getting the QA Report

Great post Ana, this really helps a lot. Do you know if there is a way to create QA checklists so as to look for specific things in a translation? That would save us a lot of time, but I'm not that familiar with Xbench. Thanks in advance for your support. Cheers.Marcos.
