Does any of you know this tool? I think it's used to update or amend translation memories in .txt format...

Olifant is a translation memory editor. This .NET application allows you to open TMs in different formats to add, delete, or modify the translation units. It offers sorting and filtering mechanisms and many other functions.

    Here's an interesting link:

use Olifant to work with OmegaT. Trados generates weird information in the header that can be cleaned with Olifant and make the TM exchangable.

Hey! I've never used omegaT, but as far as I can see, it's quite similar to Trados, isn't it?

Well not really. Trados could be related with WordFast in the way they work. Omegat extraxt the text from the source file and it works in a text editor (as many files a s you want per project. You can import multiple glossaries and TMs as well. You can translate a project with several active Tms. Omegat is an open source apps. therefore... free. You can visit www.omegat.org to get more accurate info.
