    Red face Importing memories

    Hi everyone!!
I've been working with Trados for some time now, and I am wondering the differences in the choices you can make when you import.
I almost always leave "Keep most recent ticked", because I assume it will delete the older units, but I'm not really sure.
    Anyone can help?

    Thanks!!

    Default I usually Keep Merge...but

you can choose from other options I think - either overwrite the previous term given or keep the oldest term, etc, depending on what you need.

Sometimes when memories come from clients, we´d better keep the terms provided by them, so in those cases I use Merge or I ask client if that memory has been used strictly by them or at least approved by them, to know what to do best...

    what do you think?

    Default

Wouldn't merge keep all the segments? The memory would grow into a considerable size then, everytime you import something it stays there...
