Thread: Translation Units (TU) length

Even though I am aware that segments are not standard, has anybody read about some research that may throw an average word count for a Translation Unit? Thx!

As far as i know, TU depends on how CAT tools pre process your file and obviously his format. Generally TU are not to long, because programs tries to keep it as short as possible in order to use TM segments. in my experience, the average size should be 20-25 words
