Default MS word vs Trados Workbench

    Hey all

Ive wondered about this for a while now. Why is the wordcount from MS word never the same as the one from trados Workbench?

What are either softwares not considering?

    Thanks..
    J.

Trados counts words in text boxes and MS Word doesn't.

Besides, there are differences when counting numbers/digits, characters, isolated punctuation marks, etc. In any case, MS Word word counts are usually higher, unless text is displayed within those text boxes Andreap mentioned above.
