    Default Cushite

I just had a client request a translation into Cushite. Does anyone know if Cushite is a live language?

Find this in WikiPedia... It seems that Cushitic contains many languages of Africa...

I don't understand how it could contain many languages. Do you mean it is a combination of many African languages? Is the language still alive?

The Cushitic languages are a branch of the Afroasiatic language family spoken primarily in the Horn of Africa (Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and Ethiopia), as well as the Nile Valley (Sudan and Egypt), and parts of the African Great Lakes region (Tanzania and Kenya).

I see. So it appears that Cushite is not a language in that case. It reference several similar languages in that language family.

I'll have to let my client know about this. Thanks!

Your client may be speaking of Somali or one of the main languages in that group too.
It's not likely to get a translation into a group of languages or a macrolanguage.

Got it. I'll see if Somali might work for them in that case. Thanks Daniel!
