Hi Daniel.
I'm new with the XTRF system too. It seems to be a powerful solution, but I´ll send you my thoughts in some days.

Hi santiagop,
They are welcome. It's very simple to start using it. If you receive a message saying that you have a job offer or that you were assigned, just follow the link to the project and accept it or check the instructions. You may need to wait for the previous step to be ready.
I like it! It has a nice look and feel. Did any of you try to invoice? So should I go to Invoice, Add new Invoice and that's it?? What should I put in Invoice Number?
Thanks!
Hi danielr,
is there any way to assign a code number or some other identification to a specific project? It's a bit confusing to track projects when you receive many emails with different job assignments
Hi murakami,
Thank you for asking. Yes, you have to go to the Invoice section, Add new invoice and complete your invoice. You can add the number that you prefer because it depends on how you organize your own accounting.
Check the amounts and you can invoice one project at the time or group all the available projects (you can delete individual projects from the list if needed).
Also remember that you don’t need a log in to accept a job and start it, but you need to follow the registration email if you want to invoice and log in.
Here is a link that may help.

I've been trying out XTRF for a couple of weeks now, and I believe it has great potential, especially if we consider the possibility it has to interact directly with Memsource, which I understand is something that can be done, and will be expanded in the near future.
As far as its regular functions for Project Managing go, the possibility to coordinate multiple tasks and processes with simultaneous resources (by being able to send out parallel job offers for different stages of the whole project) works out very dynamically and in a time saving manner. This makes the whole end to end process flow a lot smoother while maintaining clear visibility (throughout XTRF’s numerous automated notifications) of all the stages of the project In real time.
Of course, like in any customizable platform, there are always things to tweak, like the issue Santiago points out above.
I’ll try to make a small list of them as they come up and post them here to see what we can do to further improve the platforms performance.
As cesarm says, it's a management system that doesn't replace Memsource or other CAT tools, but interacts or works with them. However, it has a delivery option that can be used if we are asked to deliver files there instead of mail or Memsource.
Indeed. It works well for tasks such as Pre Editing, or tasks that required DTP, because it gives you a place to upload reference and source files that would be pointless to upload to Memsource in the first place, since they are not translation-ready or that don´t require translation at that instance of the project.
In this way, XTRF helps you keep the project properly organized, avoiding unnecessary off-track mailings between resources and PMs, while providing a cloud space platform where files can be available for each specific resource throughout all instances of the end to end process.
