it's a simple explanation so that most people reading the article can have a better idea of the scope of a project.
That mostly people reading the article so it can have a better and simple idea for explanation.
I learned that if you can turn anything into XML, translate it and convert back, you can work without any problems.
For images you have not any CAT Tool, your only choice is translate it in a text file and make some DTP.
These are the different storage formats for translations and files associated with translations that are supported by the toolkit. See also Standards conformance for standards conformance.
The Translate Toolkit implements a set of classes for handling translation files which allows for a uniform API which covers other issues such as quoting and escaping of text.
