Online courses

I've seen several sites for the translation industry that offer online courses. Has anyone ever tried one?

I have to admit the courses are not particularly cheap, and the fact that they are online... I don't know... isn't a course that you have to BE there better?

Hello,
Could anybody put me in the right direction regarding courses to become a Professional Translator. Is it worth it? There seems to be an overload of courses for absolutely everything these days - obviously a money making mechanism...
I,m British and have a good knowledge of Technical Spanish after many years working for Spanish organisations with Spanairds/Catalans and would like to get into the world of translation...
Any advice would be appreciated.
