After trying almost every Spanish resource site out there, I have to say that spanishdict.com is the most comprehensive. They've got Spanish-English translation, and lots of great lesson material.

Don't know about just one or two words translation but I tried the translator for a sentence and the result was very funny. It was Tarzan-like talking.
this is what I wrote

I have been here eating the same for two days

and this was the translation

He estado aquí comer la misma durante dos días

Anyway, thanks so much for your information and perhaps the site is useful for single words translation. And regarding the best English-Spanish translation out there, that can only be achieved by a real, professional translator. And of course, this is a translator talking , we must defend our "job".

Agree!

The dictionaries only work for translate one word, not even a phrase. Humberto Eco has a very interesting and fun analysis in one of his books.
