Thread: Continental Portuguese

Hello!

Reading a translations price list I found "Portuguese Continental" and I am not sure what it means exactly.
I ussually find the two varieties of this languaged reffered as European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese but the word Continental is ambiguous.

I have heard English people refer to Europe as The Continent but I am not quite sure that applies in this context.

Continental Portuguese is the eurocentrical way of refering to the Portuguese of Portugal.
