I'd suggest you either consult a dictionary or you Google for a Portuguese-English dictionary online. This way you'll have all the colors you want.
Hi Emily,
Of course I can help you...
blue - azul
green - verde
pink - rosa
red - vermelho
white - branco
black - preto
brown - marron
grey - cinza
If you want to know anything else, just let me know!!!
Até mais....

I totally agree with your answer. We should not stimulate forum users with little or no initiative into delegating their basic work to others.Originally Posted by Thomas
Hugocar, there's also a spelling mistake in the list that would not have existed had a dictionary been consulted. There are two if you prefer "côr de rosa" to plain "rosa".
By the way, I'm having trouble finding how to count from zero to ten thousand in Quechua. Could you write the numbers for me? LOL
im sorry, i didnt realize this forum was only for fluent speakers. I am an spanish-english speaker and wanted to branch out a little. Forgive me.
thanks ali!!!! (although really, its forbidden to make spelling mistakes, what were you thinking?)
Oooops Thomas, I regret to tell you that there's a very super duper enormously humongous big time spelling mistake in your post! since long ago cor has had no accent! heheheeh just a joke and my point is: we don't have to be so hard on forum members (especially when we're not right...). peace, peace, please!
it should be cor-de-rosa - Notice the hyphens too...
bottom line is that both rosa and cor-de-rosa are fine
Hankco is right, in Brazil you can use both "rosa" and "cor-de-rosa" (without accent).
In Portugal the right way to write color is "côr" (with the accent).
Is just a matter of grammatical differences between countries sharing the same language.
